FE Lenses on APS-C

Hi All,

Are there any negatives with using a FE lens on a Sony APS-C camera (my a6400)? Specifically, I'm considering picking up a Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD or Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III.  I have the Sigma 30 1.4 and the Sony 18-135 and really like both of them, but I find that a faster lens then my 18-135 and a little wider than the Sigma 30 would be useful for a lot of indoor photo situations.

I've looked at the Sigma 19/2.8 and the Sony 20/2.8, but neither seem to be too exciting and are a little wider than I'm looking for. I know Sony has a native 24mm, but it's more expensive than I can swing right now.

So two questions:  1. are there any limitations with using an FE lens on an APSC? 2. what autofocus lens in the 20 - 24mm range would folks recommend (good for indoor situations shooting kids that are moving)?

Thanks,

Mike
