For what it does this is astounding..

The question is do you have a use for it that justifies buying it?
People have said that it's no more than a 300 f4 for a Canon or Nikon. While this is true in theory, I don't think those lenses would have the resolution of this lens in the half-size MFT frame.
What can you use it for? Distant sport, wildlife, bird, butterflies.
The PL 100-400 is more flexible and lighter, but the 300f4 is a little sharper, has snappier and more accurate AF and has even better lens stabilisation. I've used it with 1.4 TCon and it's fine but with 2.0 TCon, the focus is more hesitant, certainly in poorer light.
