Got Olympus 45mm 1.8 For EM10 II, Portraits Advice

I just purchased an Olympus 45mm 1.8 for my EM-10 II, mainly for portraits of my kids or those of friends.

My main reason for doing so is because with my DSLRs I can have trouble getting the eyes in focus, even with me selecting an AF point directly located on top of their eyeball. When I had a Sony A6000 my hit rate was a good deal higher, and I'm hoping for the same results here.

What is the best way? Should I use an AF point manually selected on their eyeball, or will face detect (with all points turned on) be the best way? Any other tips?
