The Takahashi apochromat (25 years old...) consists of just two elements - one of which is Calcium fluoride (CaF2). The chromatic aberration correction is remarkable.

I have heared that those lenses are no longer allowed in some countries because of the Fluorine...

noel2, i shoot strictly canon gear and canon lenses, especially the big white primes have both fluorite elements and fluorine coating on their front and rear elements and doesn't seem to be an issue here in the States   i absolutely love the lenses that have fluorite elements because they produce incredible photos with amazing micro contrast and color rendition!!!
