Weather resistent for -10 degress, Fujifilm lens?

Hey,

I'm currently trying to decide between the Fuji 35mm 1.4 or newer 2.

I was going for the 1.4 because I'm also for more bokeh and some photographers were writing about that "special magic".

Anyway, what exactly does "weather resistant" mean for lenses?

I'm never photographing "In the rain" or stuff like that, so I think I don't care for that special "feature" (plus my camera isn't weather proof anyway). But is this also necessary for lower degrees so it doesn't "break"? Or do minus degrees don't really matter, only for the lenses to work. Just asking because I will be going to some place next year where it should be below minus 10 degrees. Will my camera equipment break? Do I need "weather resistent" lenses + camera?

Thanks.
