Street photography is all about walking a lot, thinking a lot, planning and pre seeing situations that might and might not occur, and then missing quite a few of the things you thought you would get and sometimes finding great surprises. I once spoke with a great street photographer who doesn't shoot automatically but thinks about every shot. like the old film days, and he said he is very happy with a ratio of 1-2 good shots out of 300! Not easy to achieve but the process is very rewarding even if the shots are not always so.
