I will try to get my hands on a X-T3, somewhere, I dont know where yet.

And yes, a DSLR is not an option for me, because I use also manual adapted lenses. I have also used an adapted spotting scope. (I dont know if I will continue this)

I think, the Fuji 100-400mm lens is currently the best 400mm telezoom that is available for mirrorless, especially because it can be combined with the 1.4x teleconverter, and this converter is not too expensive and can be purchased used.

So manual focusing is also an option for me and the fuji lenses support this very good, so far I have seen on youtube (I did a lot of recherche)

There is one additional question: Is it possible to prefocus manually and afterwards use the (backbutton) AF for quick fine focus? If possible, this should increase the overall focus speed.
