Older lens shines on a new camera!
1

I've had this lens long ago, back when I used Sony SLTs as my main camera. This 50mm lens is one of the best 50mm lenses if we talk about it's picture. It's sharp but gentle, has great bokeh and gives beautiful portraits wide open.

BUT this lens has AF issued on any DSLR. I am not sure why, but this lens has very unreliable auto focus on all DSLR systems. That's why I sold it "back then".

However now I've got a Nikon Z50. A mirrorless camera. This lens is now ultra-cheap on used market for an 1.4 50mm with great picture. I've bought it again. And - all AF problems are GONE! It works like a charm, giving it's beautiful picture to me.

AF of this lens is not that fast (it never was fast), but for portraits it's perfectly acceptable. So my new rating is 9/10.
