D600 (Or Similar) And Recorded GPS Time

All -

I am a satellite tracker (long threads on Astrophotography and about the D200) and need to get photos where the time is accurately recorded to the tenth of a second. Better would be nice!

Does anyone know if the GPS Time Stamp is accurate to better than one second in the D600? Or other similar cameras?

I have a D200 and the GP-1 unit but the GPS time is recorded to the second - even though the camera can record (I am not real sure that I trust it to milliseconds!!) more digits.

I would like to upgrade and still keep my NIKKOR 35-105 zoom lens.

Advice cheerfully accepted.
