this is because in live view the sensor is on all the time so runs hotter which increase the noise ...if the 80D was used in live view the readings will be much closer ...but may not be the same as the bigger DSLR body may keep the sensor cooler ...they are for all intents and purposes the same sensor in the 80D and M50 apart from probable different micro lenses to suit different flange distance
agreed, I had 70D. comparing the images 70d , m50 at same condition and lens, 70D had given better result Even after trying different picture styles & modified styles in m50.
that was the 70D ..the M50 sensor is superior to the 70D
M6 ii is much better sensor from the same site.
