Sony now 2nd in ILC sales

BCN is projecting that Sony has moved into second place in ILC sales revenue.

Sony mirrorless totally dominate the Amazon bestsellers list and my guess is it is because of: price points, full features (no crippling), third-party lens availability, and distribution network. Given that their core competency is electronics and ILCs are just electronic gadgets (they have an open standard for their lenses), I suppose they will continue to grow market share even though I personally dislike their camera body designs and jpegs colors. As for Nikon, longer-term, I wouldn't be surprised if they turn into a lens manufacturer like Sigma, supporting Sony and future mirrorless cameras. I doubt the Z series can save them unless they start giving away the FTZ to jumpstart sales.
