Hot pixel question.

Hello all,

I've experienced a strange phenomena and, wanted to learn your opinions about it.

I'm using Arctic Butterfly to clean my sensor (3-4 times / year). After the last clean up, a hot pixel has appeared on my sensor. Since I changed the lens, the camera ran sensor remap and eliminated the hot pixel as expected.

I wanted to ask that whether the hot pixel is permanent (and camera will always remap), or is it some stray static charge that will be discharged over time and the pixel will be enabled in a future remap.

I know it's a very extreme and niche situation, but any in-depth info is very welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Hakan
