Snapshots with the 24mm 1.8 S
8

I got the 24mm 1.8 S a few days ago and as expected it's pretty nifty. It's about the size of the 85mm 1.8 S in size but with a less deep, flared hood. Only really been given a chance to use it outside of work hours, so early morning or late evening.

First impression is positive, chromatic abberations seems to be well corrected but not perfect, sharp but not as bitingly so as the 50- and 85mm, autofocus is quite fast but the large AF-C S box combined with the field of view seems to make it hard to pinpoint small objects with confidence. Minimum focus distance better than I expected it to be, but not as good as I remember the Fuji 16mm 1.4.

Here's a few casual snapshots all wide open, RAW converted in CaptureOne 12, default sharpening (Amount 180, radius 0,8, threshold 1):

Adjusted brightness slightly, straightened a few degrees in post.

No adjustments.

Shadows lifted.

No adjustments.
