I am going to do my first show soon....its with a local Instagram group at a local bar/restaurant.

Some of my prints will require framing. I have all the frames, but was going to use any matting.

I like the look better without.

Is matting 100% necessary ?

I understand some of the benefits of it, but will my prints be destroyed if i just put them right into the frame without matting?

Thanks

I like museum mats on B&W and sepia, with extremely simple framing. For color I like the plexi face mounting. For a gallery showing, I would pick a look and use it for everything so there is no mistaking what is on view.

And congrats on the show, will be a wonderful evening, make sure your friends get lots of pics of you there with everyone
