I've shot with an X-T20 before and it felt too small without an additional hand grip. I just couldn't really get a good handle on it. If I were to shoot with an X-E3 would I have the same issue? I understand the X-E3 is even smaller but I was wondering if somehow the ergonomics is more "balanced" so it could possibly feel better in my hands?

My hands are on the the smaller/medium size. I have an X-T2 and I can shoot perfectly fine without a grip. So I'm wondering about the X-E3 to go even more compact.

I have also an older  X-T1   and it feels a bit better with the grip it has. BUT - X-E3 is quite nice in real use.  With a lens like 18-55 OIS  it is very balanced. And my fingers are not short...

The lcd is touch sensitive and  Q menu can be used quite easily . The "swipe" movement to use some functions is a bit strange when you use it the first time.

Quality / price is also quite balanced IMO
