Olympus versus Panasonic f/2.8 standard zoom observations

Interesting, it survived storm season on Vancouver Island last year..

.. but that's the only serious test it's had so far. It's been in the rain a few times as well - but never salt water so far.  I don't expect it to be quite as hardy as some of the other more expensive lenses, but I needed another telephoto with good reach that was at least somewhat weather resistant and that was hopefully cheaper than a second 100-400.  For 800 bucks Canadian it suited perfectly.

Interesting we had the same problem with the 50-200 Mk 1 and the Em 1 Mk1.  It just wasn't terribly reliable in terms of focus.  I got frustrated and traded it in for the 40-150 f 2.8
