So I currently have an X-E2 and XPro 2 that I carry with a 23 f2, 35 f1.4 and 50 f2 for travel. I’m looking to add to the wide end (recently sold 18 f2) and have two options I’m contemplating. Either adding the 16 f2.8 and carry with the two bodies and total of four small lenses or get the 16-80 f4 and just travel with the XPro and the zoom.
Each option has pluses and minuses such as the zoom is 1-2 stops slower but has OIS and has an extra 30mm on long end. Any thoughts on which direction you’d go and why. Also, don’t suggest other lens combos as I don’t want or need bigger faster lenses like 16 f1.4 etc. been there, done that

This isn't what you asked... but check out the 15-45... It pairs great with the X-E2 and X-E3 bodies...
I typically don't like zooms..but this is a tiny little gem and performs really well at the wide end.
Same as 16-50 option I’d only use for the 15 end since it’s so slow overall that I may as well just get 5he 16 f2.8
You can get the 15-45 for under $100 USD. The 16 2.8 is close to $400 USD.
Performance is comparable, I think MTF charts @ 15mm were actually better than the 16 2.8 in terms of sharpness. Of course that's not everything, but...there is that.
