A Reminder About Battery Life

I recently had to buy a new cellphone and read up on the best way to keep its battery going.  Learned I wasn't supposed to charge it past 80 or 90 % (preferably 80 according to lots of videos I watched) and not let it go below 20 before I charged it.  Also it was best to remove the cover to keep it cool.

I learned that lithium batteries don't like to be unused and will lose their ability to hold a charge if you don't use them!

Decided to pull out my long ignored dslrs which I haven't used in a very long time and thankfully my 7D had some juice in it which didn't last for more than one shot.  Switched to the backup battery and it was dead.  Both of these batteries charged up in way too little time.

Think about what you've invested in my cameras and batteries and whether you ought to give them some use.  If you ever want to use these cameras you're going to have to buy new batteries.
