"strange" behaviour of m3 with cable flash.

Hi!

Yesterday I had the possibility to take photos in a photographic studio. I used the m3 but I saw also another photographer with a Sony full frame mirrorles to have the same problem. I used the flash of the studio with a cable and because I had 1/125 sec and 100iso,I could see anything on the screen but only after I took the photo. The screen was black because of the low iso. Is there a regulation that can prevent that to happen? I took so many photos but unfortunately most of then have the hands of the model outside the frame. I must say that even if the other photographer had the same problem I admired his a7 camera and how quick was the buffer.

If someone can help me with resolving this problem I would appreciate it.

Thank you.
