... a Favorite Photo Made with my favourite lens

The 18-55mm f/2.8-4 OIS is a good lens that offers image stabilization and a faster aperture range in comparison with other kit lenses. But of late, it's not getting much love in the Fuji forum. Is the 18-55 the best lens in Fuji's lineup? No. Of course not. But this notion that it's overrated and not worthy of consideration as among the better kit lenses, is off the mark.

Optically, it's good enough. The build quality is good. It offers image stabilization and, best of all, isn't hampered by the slow f-stop range that typifies the segment. I love the fact I can carry this lens into a dark building, shoot handheld and get a good result. Not many kit lenses can match this.

18mm, f/4, 1/20, ISO 2000

Do you have a favorite photo you've made with the 18-55mm f/2.8-4 OIS? If so, please share. Let's build a thread illustrating the fact that subject, light, composition, moment and technique are more important than gear when it comes to making a good photo.

18-55 is not a perfect lens , but obviously it is very good - i use it almost always.  10-24 is also very good... 90% of my photos are taken with 18-5 when i travel
