Had you compared the shots from e-shutter and m-shutter? If you find on 1:1 the shots from e-shutter is sharper than m-shutter, likely you might have shutter shock but just the degree of softness is not bad to unacceptable level only...

The following are 2 home testing I did when newly acquired G85 and are still on my computer. There 2 shots (both were taken by leaning on the door, handheld, one use e-shutter and the other use m-shutter) from G85 & 45-200 (one of the earliest Panny lens suspected to have shutter shock). If looking at the original on as is basis on a HD resolution screen, I suppose we shall regard them similar.

m-shutter

e-shutter

However, if I look at them on 1:1 (the followings were cropped to 720 x 720 for approximately 100% view on any monitor), a sharper image from e-shutter should be observed:

m-shutter

e-shutter

Believe me, basically GX85 performs similar to G85.

During the years using GX85 (bought on 2016), 14-140 was glued on it most of the time.  I rarely notice that Auto Shutter of the camera will switch to e-shutter automatically...

If you are happy with your gear (for avoidance of doubt I am very happy with GX85 and 14-140), it is perfectly alright.

Happy shooting .
