A couple of questions on the NX1

Hello!  I just picked up an NX1 a few weeks back, and I'm definitely enjoying it!  I just have a couple of questions, one of the few drawbacks of having a Samsung camera is the lack of discussion compared to the big names!

I've noticed that I have a green cross in the center of my display.  It's not the illuminated center marker, and it's not the AE point since that's connected to my AF point, so what is it?  Any way to turn it off?  I notice that is disappears in manual mode, but I'm typically in Aperture Priority.

When I push the AE button, I notice a whole new display pops up.  Green lines seem to indicate anything underexposed, but there is also a bar that pops up with a number above it, what does this number signify?  The numbers appear to change in increments of 5 all the way up to 255.

Also, I've noticed in several reviews that there is a manual focus distance scale when manual focus is enabled.  However, when I use manual focus, all that shows on the distance scale is a mountain icon and a person icon instead of actual distances.  Is there a way to turn that distance scale on, or did it actually get removed during a firmware update?

Thanks!
