Changing from X100 series to X-Pro + lens

Hi all, I've been looking ahead to the time when my X100T reaches the end of its life (it's a battered old thing), and I'm considering changing over to an X-Pro 2 or 3 with 23mm f2 instead of upgrading to the X100F. I like the rangefinder-style bodies and this would probably also replace my otherwise wonderful X-T2 as I take on less professional work and focus more on street/documentary photography.

I'd be really interested to hear from anyone who has made that switch, either with satisfaction or regret.

Here are some of the pros and cons to moving over as I see it:

Pros

  • Weather resistance
  • Significantly faster AF
  • Marginally superior optics and flexibility to change lenses

Cons

  • Increased size and weight
  • Possibly less discreet presence on the street (not sure whether this would be significant in practice)
  • Loss of leaf shutter

Of course, it would be an idea to wait to see what the X100V has to offer, though I'd be surprised if weather resistance was part of the package.

Grateful for any additions or input!
