Chasing unnecessary perfection

I don't chase perfection, I chase high quality.

I never get unpleasant artifacts due to the camera's sensor, only due to lens inadequacies, and that's because I only use cameras that don't exhibit horrible color "moire". I always use good lenses that don't exhibit obvious ugly optical artifacts. If I wanted horrible CA from hell, I'd use my 25mm f/1.4 Panasonic "Leica" more. If I wanted "passable" quality in out-of-focus areas, I'd use the 12-35mm f/2.8 instead of my 30mm f/2.8 macro which has unbelievable out-of-focus rendering. If I wanted "average" contrast due to flare, and much higher chance of ghosting, I'd use some zoom lens instead of my 42.5mm f/1.7 which has fantastic contrast even in the toughest conditions.
