If you've wet cleaned before (eg: you're familiar with how much pressure you can use -- I think a lot of people are too conservative) and you're unable to remove those specks, then it's possible that they're UNDER the anti-aliasing layer. That's what happened with my GX7 and I paid around CAD$250 to get it cleaned. And even at that price, the shop said they normally charge more but did it as a favour to the camera shop that referred me to them.

Thanks for sharing that. How the heck does dust get under the antialiasing filter? That's a defect. At that price, I may just start saving for the next body.

No idea how it happened although I do recall a lens change on a particularly windy day a short while before I noticed the specks.  In any case, considering the repair cost vs. new or used camera cost of another GX7, a GX85 or a GX9, I would probably skip the repair.  I only paid for the repair because, at the time, it was cheaper than finding a used GX7 plus I had and have some attachment to that camera (made lots of great photos with it and brought it on many trips).  But I sure wouldn't have paid the full retail repair cost.
