Just Got the M6II - Feedback 1
5

Sold my M5 and used the proceeds to partly fund my purchase of the new M6II.

It's a bit bigger and thicker than the M6 I used to own, but in a good way. The grip feels better, the build quality also is visibly better.

So far using the 15-45 and the 32, both M lenses, what I like is how brighter the images seem to be and how they seem more vibrant. The AWB has improved and is now comparable to the AWB of both my R and RP. It now has the AWB White Priority which is really useful for my kind of photography.

The screen that tilts feels more firm and less fragile. There seems to be fewer moving parts than the M5's.

It charges on USB using the same PD-rated chargers and power banks I already have so that means no need to bring the dedicated battery charger when I travel.

One thing I'm yet to get accustomed to is the sound it makes when I click the shutter. Whereas in my DSLRs it sounds like a metal part has moved, which is find reassuring, and in both the R and RP they sound less mechanical of course, I find the M6II shutter sound almost plasticky, and not different from when I'm breaking a popcorn between my teeth 😊

Anyway, photos to follow. I'm especially excited to compare this with RP images using my 22mm, 28mm and 32mm native lens, against their rough equivalents in the EF and RF mounts, as well as use some good EF lenses on both bodies as well.
