E-M1 mk II and E-M5 mk III differences and price

Let’s start with some differences:

-Better video (e.g. log profile)

-Head phone jack

-Much longer battery life

-Better ergonomics (with relatively big PRO lenses)

-Two card slots

-Magnesium alloy body

-More fn-buttons

-More custom dials (C1-C3)

-Better EVF refresh rate and bigger magnification

-Higher continuous shooting speed and better ProCapture buffer

-Smaller, plastic body

-USB charging (but no USB-C)

So as we can see, the differences make E-M1.2 much better camera. It’s a bit bigger (with better grip), but the advatage of smaller body decreases if used with relatively big pro lenses - and when used with smaller lenses, there’s no weather sealing.

E-M5.3 is way overpriced, there’s no way around it. Yes, it has some features that competitors doesn’t have, but this goes other way too...

...And if one wants to cherry pick the exact features E-M5.3 has, then there’s E-M1.2 - within the same price range (at least here in Finland, and widely around Europe, like in German sites).

This leaves E-M5.3 to very poor situation. Besides E-M1.2, there’s many, many great cameras in the same price range (like Fuji X-T3 which is the same price here, or X-T30 which is ~400 EUR less).

Shouldn’t the price of E-M5.3 be much less? I mean same way like e.g. X-T3 vs. X-T30, where there’s ~30-40% price difference. Not like E-M1.2 and E-M5.3, where there’s no significant price difference, but the other is much better.
