Color blotching at ISO 100
1

I shot the lighthouse again this morning, and got some veiling flare, which I think adds something to the photo, which would be mostly black without it. I think there is a lot of green and magenta color blotching in the dark areas though, even though I shot the photo at ISO 100. Am I seeing things, or is that really there?

I trust that the full-frame camera will still make excellent jpegs, but hopefully will not make color blotching in dark areas, like in this instance.

Do you think it's the flare that's causing this to happen, or is it just the fact that it's a large, dark area of this particular color?
