I got dust in the sensor with my first GRD. Slightly annoying/worrying at the time, but it went in for repair under warranty and never happened again.

Yes, this is by far the best option: get it cleaned and resume using it. Every chance it will never return. Accept that every camera model has some samples with dust on sensor, and they can't all be due to the camera's deficincies
