The Search for that Perfect Composition.
1

Composition within Landscape Photography as with any other art form is subjective to the message each person wishes to convey via the image. When I struggled desperately to make this picture a few days ago I was reminded by this unavoidable truth. Bombarded by questions such as, "How much foreground should I include?" "Should I put the Horizon line on the first third line or the second?" followed by many others had me utterly confused as the light dwindled away right in front of me. Finally something came to me. Something I feel compelled to share and hope you'll appreciate what I've learnt.

- There are NO rules to Landscape Photography. What we perceive as rules are only visual techniques to be utilized as guidelines, each from which we must all build upon in our quest to share the landscape with our viewers in the strongest manner possible.
