On flat field distant landscape scenes (buildings, etc) I find the AF distance indicator is often well short of infinity. I get a sharp centre but soft edges. I put the camera in manual and move the distance indicator line to just before infinity. This gives a much better result. Probably down to field curvature in the lens, but I never had this AF behaviour with my original X100 with CDAF, only the X100F with PDAF. I've tried other Fs and they do the same thing. It's never noticeable in street photography, etc, just landscapes. Of course you may have a lens issue, but try setting infinity in manual first and see if it solves the problem.
