Not my first rodeo but it was for the Z6

Arcadia FL has a great rodeo a couple of times a year.  In the past it was an outdoor event but they built a new indoor arena for it and this was my first time to attend.

I took the D500 with 70-300mm AF-P and the Z6 with FTZ and 70-200mm f4.

I planned on shooting primarily with the Z6 with a few for comparison with the D500.

As it happens, I'm not happy with the results of either.  The arena has a large area of translucent material which provide for natural light.  Their are Flourescents around the perimeter and the main performance are has what appears to be big LED fixtures.

This 'Mutton Buster' was OK but I had some motion blur

Passable for web use but kinda muddy

Another point was that the arena seating left almost no little corners where I could shoot without being in front of someone.  On this day I tried from a higher position.
