Holy smoke! 5Ds R is a threat to my beloved 7D II

Bought a used Canon 5Ds R for 2000$.  Mostly for the 50 Mpix and fullframe.

Have used the 7D for almost 10 years an very happy with both of them.

The 5DsR is a beast - a hidden gem in the market full of good cameras.

I programmed it to change crop with the Mf.n button. I used the silent shutter mode with 3 pics/sec. Not as fast as my 7D but wow what details you can find in the pictures.

It is so easily handed, sooo reliable on AF and metering. I dont find any problem with the dreaded hand-shake/high pix problem.

Now I can use my 20mm and the Sigmonster 300-800mm and all lenses between on just one camera!

It is so fun going around with the Sigma Art 50/1.4 and use either as 50 or 70.

And even more fun with the Sigmonster! I noticed a leap forward with the 21 mpix 7D II vs 18 mpix 7D.  The 5DsR shows what the Sigma technician did 15 years back with this lens.

100 meters and reading small text...and I have a 300 - 1280mm lens.

Crop 1/3.   Old Canon 100-400.

Fullframe Sigma 50mm 1,4

Crop 1/4  with Old Canon 100-400mm

Heard and read so much garbage about the 5Ds R.  Not so good low-is, hig-iso, no-super high iso, slow frame-rate and so-on. Thx!, therefore I got the camera for discount price.

Canon didnt create a Nikon D850 but they made a very competent an balanced camera that you can enjoy for every type of photographing (except maybe high-velocity motives)

Highly recommended
