Heavy lens + Capture Pro = injured M50
2

So I was using my M50 in my Peak Design Capture Pro setup along with a rented EF 100-400mm ii while I was out adventuring. Apparently the weight was too much for the bottom plastic casing on my M50, because the whole thing ripped out of the Capture clip, leaving the Capture plate in the clip and my camera dangling by my neck strap. Dumb me.

It looks like the only damage done was to the plastic outer body; I assume this is fixable? This can’t be the only time someone has been dumb enough to overload their camera while using a plate in the tripod socket.

Anyone else have experience with this?
