What do you want...

The real question, for those that don't seem to like the E-M5mkIII, what do you want?

They released the E-M1X and it seems the entire world, minus a couple handful of people, trashed the ginormous size of it. They all said m43 was about small and the E-M1X was certainly not small. A whole bunch of that kind of stuff.

Now, Olympus announces a E-M5mkIII that is, based on a lot of reviews so far, a near duplicate of the E-M1mkII in a smaller package. So, you got the former top end camera, minus a few percentages of it, in a smaller package.

So what is the matter now?

Some just have to have hand held high res mode and say heck no to this one, and heck no to Olympus, because it doesn't have it. Maybe it doesn't because they can't do it yet, or can do what they want out of it yet. But maybe the next X will have it and do it.

Some want the bigger battery, and that is understandable. But a reason to ditch Olympus? It does have in camera recharging, albeit with the wrong connector for some people. Still, Robin Wong got 1500 burst shooting images from one battery, about 1000 with not so fast burst shooting.

I think Olympus did a pretty good job on this camera, taking as much of the E-M1mkII, maybe some from E-M1X too, and put it all in the smaller size body, that is pretty light and pretty much the weight of the Pen-F, which is certainly a poorer performer than this one is now. But that isn't good enough for some. If you don't like it, get a FF mirrorless and talk about how great it it is in their board, unless talking good about anything is not something that can be typed by your hands, heart, and head...
