Right, the photographer runs ColorMunki or i1 Profiler or whatever. All the work -- choice of several target parameters, calibration, and profiling -- is done in a single process which consists of those component parts. And how many thousand times have people discussed the process on this forums as "calibrating their monitor," and everything is fine.

But then, you have returned to the problem of the OP. The flame warriors much prefer to mis-read, manufacture a horrible crime, and go bat-sh*t over it, than to help people.
