Continuous drive appear to be half the performance of the EM1ii. But what about the buffer? What use is 30fps if the buffer fills up after 5 frames...

From the Olympus web-site:

[Sequential shooting H 10fps] RAW: Max. 150 frames, JPEG (LF): Until card is full
[Sequential shooting L 6fps] RAW, JPEG (LF): Until card is full
[Silent sequential shooting H 30fps] RAW: Max. 23 frames, JPEG (LF): Max. 26 frames
[Silent sequential shooting L 10fps] RAW: Max. 152 frames, JPEG (LF): Until card is full

Not too bad I am thinking. 150 frames at 10fps with RAW - that is 15 sec.! And at 6 fps until card is full - again with RAW. Only the 30 fps is over at 0.7 sec.

But you probably do need a UHS-II card.

My presumption is buffer capacity is bound by the TruePic chip, but perhaps there are other factors in play. Since it is TPIII and UHS-II, and the burst rate isn't terribly high, a decent UHS-II card should give excellent results.

I ran into the buffer on my gen 1 E-M5 pretty often, so this advancement is valuable.
