FTZ-Adapter Version 2.0 -- w/Motor for D-lenses?
5

I would like your opinions and interest in an "FTZ 2-D" adapter for the Z-mount.

Do any of you know if its physically possible for Nikon or a 3rd Party to help us save our beloved "D"-lenses (for all their warts), with FULL-AF, on the Z-bodies?  I wouldn't mind if an "FTZ 2-D" required a AAA or AA-battery, if I could make full use of my 135/2D, etc, lenses.  Does anyone else have interest in this?

I would imagine it as exactly the same as the current FTZ, but with a battery box, where the squared-off foot is, and a motor-driver powered by the battery.

The reason I'm interested in this is that my D-lenses have a very interesting look, which modern lenses don't.  And artistically, I appreciate the difference, in some cases.
