What do you wear for -10F (-23C) when photographing?

Hi,

Please delete this thread if this does not fit in this forum.

I'm planning a trip to Banff in January or February next year. I grew up in Los Angeles, USA and never been to such cold area. It looks like Banff's Jan. or Feb. temperature can go down to -10F (-23C).

I understand that layering is key and I have base layers.

For the outer jacket/parka...I'm struggling to choose one.

Can anyone who's been photographing in such cold area recommend an outer jacket? I would appreciate it if you actually give a name & brand so I can search and get an idea.

I would also appreciate any tips on photographing in cold area.

Thank you!
