Why I am I so bad composing with wide angle lenses?

A good rule in photography..

That many excellent photographers use, is to leave out anything that doesn't add something to the image. With wide angle lenses this is much harder to do, by their nature you are including much more, and images can be cluttered and confusing. If the light is not interesting then the effect is even worse. Many high end landscape photographers use telephoto lenses much more than wide angle lenses, so don't beat yourself up about it. Wide angle lenses are good for certain specific things but can produce very clichéd shots, that's my experience of it anyway.
