That's like saying Nikon can put the D850 sensor in a D5600. Yes, technically speaking they can but they won't because of Nikon's strategy = FF is always seen as prosumer/professional grade cameras and they want you to pay up to upgrade.

A budget FF is not only much more feasible to mass produce but a priority for Nikon. In interviews at this week's Z50 launch, Nikon stress expanding the user base of the Z mount is a priority.

Another corollary is Z50 prices will drop sooner than later. MILC will continue to change the landscape
