A tripod leveling head trick for when you have to shoot from a really tall ladder
2

I was working on a group shot of around 250 people last night and there were no bleachers as we were on the field of Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

I was planning to gaffer tape a Platypod Max to the top platform of the ladder and mount my tripod head to it but looked at the tool hole in the platform and decided to first see if the 75mm diameter half ball from my ProMediaGear leveling base for my TR344L tripod might fit and lock into place in the tool hole.

As it turned out that worked great!

Tripod head: Arca-Swiss B1 Monoball with Really Right Stuff PCL-1 panning clamp

Primary light sources for the group we used 4 Paul C Buff, Inc Einstein E640 monolights.

Camera and lens: Nikon Z7 and Nikkor Z 14-30mm f/4S.
