Z50 Marketing versus Z50 Features
19

Nikon seems to be marketing this camera primarily to the smartphone/Instagram/selfie crowd. But if you take a deep dive into the tech features, it seems as if the camera has a great deal to offer to the more advanced APS/C photographer. In fact, despite the frequent reviewers’ suggestions that the Z50 is a mirrorless D 5600, it seems much more akin to the D 7500 in terms of sensor, AF, twin control dials, one card slot, etc., etc. Those D7500 features, combined with the distinct upgrades and advantages of the Z mount and mirrorless format, would seem to make it very attractive to the Nikon DSLR user, and particularly the D7500 owner who, like myself, is attracted to a mirrorless DX format.
