im actually thinking of selling all my EF lenses and just getting the RF 28-70 because usually I walk around with one lens. Mostly the 24-70ii. But that lens is just so much smaller and easier to take with me everywhere I go. I’m not sure if the 28-70 will be just too big to use as an everyday lens...

Well with the adapter on... I think they are about the same length. The 28-70 is wider though. Not sure about weight (can't be bothered looking them up). 
I imagine the 28-70 would be better than the 24-70ii adapted though, because of balance.
