You win. That’s what matters
Important to note than in MEDISN's example the subject is moving at approximately 2mph. That said, it's still a very good example for the Pen-F, I never saw results that good. I don't know if he's able to get results like that consistently or not but given that there's not much to configure on the Pen-F maybe he's just better than pressing the shutter button than everyone else, =). That or maybe Olympus made some stealth FW updates.
I suppose the PenF C-AF is ok at 2 mph
Meaning the PEN-F is well beyond the current skill level of certain self-titled "experienced users".
You mean more like the PenF is below the requirements of a pretty good C-AF system or standard in the market :-).
Show me a sequence you've shot at a better hit rate on "a pretty good C-AF system". Should be easy right?
Actually no. I already posted some results from real use with the PenF and when I found something you liked, you trumpeted I was wrong.
Never mind a mindful reader my note that someone under a thread like this posting something remotely counter to his first observation in other conditions, admitting something new, would probably mean that individual is probably pretty reliable. But that's another point.
When you found something you didn't like then it was something else. Basically solid proof why I don't bother anymore. But for reference, the camera in question is the Fuji X-E3.
I mean, capturing at 2 mph a not so erratic subject movement is not exactly a hard test for C-AF...
Not hard...but you can't do it with any camera. No fault of the PEN-F.
2mph? Sounds pretty easy. I mean, you can do it with many, and certainly doesn't mean it's evidence for the PenF not having bad C-AF :-). O course, I like pointed out from the get go that the example given didn't seem that stressful. But that didn't seem to go well
