Red Led Swamps Auto Focus

Several new models Multi Row Red LED light strips interfere with auto focus on my M3. Difficult to tell if is the lighting just reduces contrast of the on camera focus aid or blinds the camera by overloading the sensor. Depending on design the strips may be cycling at twice the line frequency as some do or at higher rates. Crowded noisy clubs do not lend themselves to careful testing of lighting angles let alone intensity testing. Even at greater than 60 degree angle to the light disables focus. Smoke plumes illuminated from behind the photographer by the lights have disabled auto focus.

Just something else to make things fun.
