The Samsung GX10 was a rebadged Pentax K10D, with slight cosmetic differences, which was a top-of-the-range camera in it's day, and still a perfectly capable 10Mpixel camera!

The Tamron 70-300mm will doubtless serve you very well if you can find one in Pentax fitting. I've used Tamron lenses on my Pentax's (and before) for very many years and continue to be happy with them. I don't have this particular model, but own and use both the 18-200mm and the 90-300mm regularly.

Unfortunately both Tamron and Sigma have chosen to reduce their support for Pentax in recent times, so any new stock you can find is likely to be the last of it. Fortunately, there have been very many lenses produced in the last 30 years or so that will work perfectly well on your Samsung, so don't be put off. One of Pentax's selling points is the backward compatibility of their lens system, virtually unchanged since 1975!

Good luck and enjoy
