Ooops, it is actually a crop sensor lens. Put it on my A7R and had to put it at 25mm.

The 17-35mm isn't a crop sensor lens at all !

It's a full frame lens , I regularly use mine on both a full frame Sony a900 and my Minolta film cameras where it does well with Rollei Infrared film .

These are the lenses being discussed here ; http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/Minolta-AF-17-35mm-F2.8-4-D_lens27.html

And ; http://www.dyxum.com/lenses/Tamron-SP-AF-17-35mm-F2.8-4-Di-LD-Aspherical-IF_lens113.html

.

Not sure what lens you have , maybe the Tamron 17-50mm ?

That's a lens for crop sensor's .

The Tamron 17-35/2.8-4 is certainly a full frame lens. I've used it quite a bit on my LA-EA4 and on my A900, and a bit on a Dynax 7. The Minolta version is supposed to be identical. It certainly looks identical. It's screw-drive and has a detachable hood. I don't have it handy at the moment, but, from what I remember, it has 8-pins on the A mount.

When I get home I may try it on the Maxxum 7000 to see how it does on an old A mount camera.
