However, your distain for focus stacking and with others that don't agree with your methods and views (often incorrect) is obvious to anyone that follows these threads.

Actually there are quite a few photographers that I admire who focus stack. But they create images that people want to save to their screens as wallpaper or print large and hang on the wall. They're concerned with creating an image that looks good when viewed edge to edge. They're not ignoring composition and lighting. The only disdain that I have for the focus stacking community as a whole is when the majority seem to project the impression that the only good macro image is one that's sharp at 100% pixels. But no matter how sharp a photo is it will never save a poorly composed, poorly lit photo...

Macro as a discipline is never going to be taken seriously unless we are all creating images that look good edge to edge. The world doesn't need another poorly composed, poorly lit photo of an insect...

FWIW: Most of the photographers that I talk to think that macro is a niche discipline because the overall image quality is extremely poor. Even when I get excited about a focus stacked image and show it to a non macro shooting I get the same reaction every time: "Looks easy, anybody could do that because it's just still life photography".

Anyway, this is another thread that deviated from the OP intent, To stack or Not to stack is the original question I believe.

Best,

...and yet here you are...

Think this whole deviation started under your guidance just like it did in the previous thread on Alternate Stacking Concepts. You have a great skill in turning a useful productive thread into unproductive ramblings, and more like "look at my wonderful bee's images".

All I did in the other tread was express my lack of enthusiasm, as a photographer, for posts about gadgets and assorted hardware because I'm more concerned with what can be created by them. The OP claimed that he couldn't share any images (company propitiatory) and then proceeded to belittle me. He could have said nothing, but chose to make himself seem special even though he doesn't have the burden of proof (no photos).

I post my images in theses threads from time to time not to show off, but to prove that I can back up what I'm saying with an images that I've taken.

As for staying on topic: Good luck with that one, especially since a lot of people want to argue with me, but very few backing up their arguments with images. Even you have gone off topic in their thread, and yet you call me out for it...
