Can you share a little about your experience with Tamron 24-70 G2 adapted on the EOS R?

I'm on the fence now about going with Tamron 24-70 G2 or Canon RF 24-105 (my budget is $1000) so I'm kinda confused on what to get and it's hard to find a real user review of the Tamron on a EOS R/RP camera.

Especially autofocus speed and accuracy.

Thanks

I can imagine!

I've been doing a wedding last weekend with it on the Eos R, it did fine. Autofocus works ok, accuracy also, but with moving subjects it is harder. It can hunt a little bit and cannot keep up alway. The 2.8 has nice bokeh though. Right now the new RF 24 70 doesn't feel that different. Only this is that my lens at 2.8 was soft. I just don't want a soft lens anymore, so I bit the bullet for the RF, I just want to trust my lens and the quality.

If you're a professional I would recommend the rf 24 105. I think that lens is more fun, thinking of weight and such. I shot a wedding with the Tamron 24 70 on my canon 5d mark iv, https://vimeo.com/356900904 , trailer, it did really well.
